The purpose of this site is to provide accurate information to the residents of Monton, Eccles and surrounding areas, regarding the planned Green Lane Eco-Park. Sky Properties are planning to use the former Mitchell & Shackelton factory land to develop an industrial plant to process business waste from companies up to 20 miles away from Monton.
Who is affected?
This proposal affects the wider Salford area, but the communities who will be affacted with the highest impact will include: Eccles, Monton, Ellesmere Park, Worsley, Winton, Barton, Patricroft, Peel Green and Swinton.
Who are we?
We are a group of local Eccles and Monton residents who are strongly opposed to the proposal on the grounds of the negative impact it will have on the local community. We are not affiliated with any global, national or political movements. We are local residents fighting for and on behalf of other local residents to get this plan stopped.
Our members come from all walks of life (IT, Finance, Lorry Drivers, Universities, Teachers, Post Office workers, Shop Owners, Builders, Homeworkers and more).
